| Comments: | Hi, I first saw your name and pond mentioned in Skippysstuff.com. I went to your site to view your pond. It's beautiful by the way. When you were telling about what you have planted around your pond I noticed you said you planted cottoneasters at the head of your waterfall. I don't know if you are aware that these have an extremely aggressive and invasive root system. My son works at a plant in town and they put on an addition. They discovered that the cottoneasters they had planted next to the building had grown right into the foundation of the building. You might want to reconsider these plants being by your pond. I know there are several different cottoneasters so I am not sure if some are alright by ponds or not. I just wanted to give you a heads up on this. I too, am constructing my second pond. It is a big undertaking when only using a shovel. Hoping to have it up and running soon. By the way, you have a great looking family. And we do have a Birds unlimited up here a |
